Insurance does not cover the cost of our ultrasounds. As these ultrasounds are elective and are not intended to be a replacement for diagnostic ultrasounds performed by your doctor, you will need to pay the cost of the ultrasound as an out-of-pocket expense. Baby Logic accepts cash, Visa, Master Card and debit cards.

Hydration plays an important part in creating clear ultrasound images during pregnancy. Drinking plenty of water in the week before your appointment increases the amniotic fluid and allows the ultrasound to visualize your baby better. If your diet permits it, eating a sweet snack (something with suger in it) 30 minutes before your session may help get your baby moving during the ultrasound.

Absolutely not! Baby Logic ultrasounds are for entertainment purposes only. Please note: at no time are these sessions to be used in place of a complete diagnostic ultrasound performed at your doctor's office. No doctor's referral is needed for a Baby Logic ultrasound because these are strictly elective scans. At no time, do we contact your doctor. If we do see something wrong, we will advise you to see your doctor. We do require, however, that your receiving pre-natal care from a doctor, and if you have any questions, contact your doctor. Ultrasound technicians in general cannot make diagnoses. Baby Logic ultrasounds are strictly elective.

Yes, Baby Logic encourages you to invite family and friends to the session. This is a joyous and wonderful experience, one which can be shared with your loved ones. We can seat up to 5 people in addition to mom and dad. More than 5 guests may come with you, but the extras may have to stand. Children are always welcome!

This is a great question!

• 2D ultrasounds are the traditional method used for years and provide two dimensional black and white images of your baby.
• 3D ultrasounds are an advanced method which captures a three dimensional image of your baby, allowing for the ability to see facial features and well-defined formation.
• 4D ultrasounds are a moving three dimensional image of your baby that shows your baby's movements. The most incredible part of the 4D experience is seeing your baby move inside your belly in real time -- watch them yawn, smile and play with their toes.

This is really up to your baby. The cooperation and positioning of your baby is going to be key. Some babies are very photogenic in the womb and willing to show it all, while other babies may be more shy and a full frontal face shot may not be possible with those babies. The following factors can affect the image quality: your baby's position in the womb, your baby's size and movements, maternal tissue, and the amount of amniotic fluid in the womb. This is one reason why we encourage mothers to hydrate significantly (drink lots of water) in the week prior to the session to increase the amount of amniotic fluid. We at Baby Logic do everything possible to give you the experience you are looking for in the time available.

No! 3D and 4D ultrasounds use the same frequency that your doctor uses in normal 2D ultrasounds. Ultrasounds have been used for decades, and there have been no proven side effects from its proper use. We at Baby Logic strictly adhere to FDA standards.

Usually! In most cases, Baby Logic can provide an indication of the sex of your baby. We cannot, however, guarantee that your baby will cooperate during your session. Certain factors, such as body tissue content, developmental stage and the position of your baby in the womb all affect the ability to determine sex. If we are unable to determine the sex of the baby, we will reschedule a quick peek return visit one week later at no additional cost.

To receive optimal images of your baby, it is important that you follow these timeframes:

• Best time for gender determination is 16+ weeks
• Best time to view body and face for 3D/4D is 21 to 24 weeks
• Best time to view facial details is 25 to 34 weeks (after 35 weeks, there is less room in your belly and it is harder to get the perfect image of your baby's face)
